
When it comes to air travel, changing your mind can be costly. If you can’t fly with Scoot even though your reservation doesn’t include the Flex Option, you may not be able to get a refund.
Scoot’s policy regarding flight cancellations is clear and transparent. Except for a few justified situations, such as the death of a passenger or a loved one, or for medical reasons, Scoot does not owe you a refund unless you have already purchased the Flex service.
If you have a valid reason for not flying with Scoot, you must submit official documentation proving this to the airline’s customer service department.
In case of illness/incident:
Provide a medical certificate, written by a physician (signed/stamp), containing the following information:
– Physician’s name and signature
– Hospital name and contact information (telephone, address, etc.)
– Reason why the passenger cannot take the flight
In case of death
Provide a death certificate
You can attach the required documents via this form to send to Scoot customer service.
In case of cancellation for safety reasons
If for other reasons deemed extraordinary circumstances, such as natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or any other event that may occur in the destination country, Scoot may allow you to change your travel date.
How can I cancel a flight ticket with Scoot?
To do this, you can complete the process yourself online using a simple process:
- Go to www.flyscoot.com
- Log in to your Manage Booking account. To do this, go to the menu at the top and point the cursor at Your Booking.
- In the “Manage Booking” section, fill in the login fields (Last Name and PNR).
- Once there, you’ll find your reservation, which you can cancel with one click.
Get a refund
If you cancel your trip with Scoot for a justified reason, you will be guaranteed a refund for your flight ticket, but only in the form of a travel voucher that you can use at a later date.
A cash refund is only available if Scoot is the party that cancels the flight.
Get a refund from Scoot without justification
Scoot provides refunds without reason to its customers who have booked their flight with the Flex fare.
Starting at just $20, passengers benefit from a cancellation service with no reason or justification required. This module can be added when booking the flight, or later, from the Manage Booking section.
– When booking for a group
Scoot requires that the Flex Option be added to each booking separately; therefore, the Flexibility supplement is charged to each member of the group.
It is also important to remember that the purchase fee for the Flex Option is not refundable if you cancel your flight (it is, however, refundable if the cancellation comes from Scoot).
The refund will be made in the original payment method chosen by the passenger.
In the case of a flight with multiple itineraries, cancellation of the flight with the Flex Plan cannot be made partially (i.e. for only one part of the trip). The cancellation therefore applies to all flights included in the reservation. Of course, this rule only applies if the cancellation comes from the passenger and not from the airline.
Change a Scoot flight?
Yes, it’s possible. The passenger has 24 hours from booking their Scoot flight ticket to add this option while they have the possibility to cancel their flight or change their departure date or destination up to 4 hours before the scheduled departure.
