Traveling with Singapore Airlines? Pre-order your favorite food in advance with Book the Cook

Singapore Airlines is improving its dining service on domestic and intercontinental flights by offering more flexibility to passengers traveling in Premium Economy, Business, First, and Suites. Business travelers can now choose their meal before takeoff and the time of its service.

Singapore Airlines now offers its passengers an on-demand dining service called Book the Cook. Travelers can choose their dining time on board flights lasting more than 1.5 hours departing from and arriving at Changi.

This new service – completely free – allows passengers to manage the time they wish to spend eating and resting during the flight.

Pre-selection of meal in advance

In addition, Singapore Airlines customers also have the option to choose their meal before their intercontinental flight. They can view the menu and visuals of the dishes on the airline’s website or app one week before the flight. Travelers can make their choice from one week to 24 hours before their departure.

Passengers will be able to choose from European dishes, such as Chef Georges Blanc’s Citrus Steamed Sea Bass with Lettuce Purée, a nourishing dish rich in protein and essential polyunsaturated fatty acids such as omega-3 and omega-6.

Asian cuisine will also be featured, including Chef Yoshihiro Murata’s Yamato-Style Miso Soup with Vegetable Nimono, as well as delicious desserts such as Watermelon and Mango Jelly or Tofu Cheesecake with Citrus Compote.

Premium Class passengers have not been forgotten, with Chickpea Quinoa and Ratatouille—a delicious gluten-free dish rich in protein, antioxidants, and essential amino acids.

Passengers will also be able to enjoy Steamed Fish with Goji Berry Sauce, providing a wealth of omega-3, vitamin C, iron, and fiber.

The meals and dishes served to passengers are prepared from a range of carefully selected ingredients, such as whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, fish, seeds, nuts, spices and aromatic herbs.
