Missing miles in KrisFlyer account: How do I make a complaint to Singapore Airlines?

Are you a member of the Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer loyalty program and have booked a flight, but have just discovered after a while that the corresponding miles have not been credited to your account? What to do if your miles are not reflected in your account after booking?

This situation, which is very common among passengers, requires the airline to regularize the member’s mileage balance.

How long do you have to wait? What can you claim? Where to file a claim?

First, you should know that earned miles only appear in the member’s account two to four weeks after booking, or even eight weeks if you booked with a partner airline. Therefore, please wait until this period has elapsed before filing a claim.

Complete the claim form

You must complete and submit a claim form to qualify for compensation under the settlement. Log in to your KrisFlyer account.

– Where to find it?

Log in to your KrisFlyer account using your membership number and password. Then, locate the Claim Form section.

Keep your receipts and boarding passes

Keep all your boarding passes and airline ticket receipts until the flight is posted to your frequent flyer account. You’ll need the information on these documents if you request retroactive flight credit later.

Digital boarding passes are ideal: simply save them to your phone’s Wallet app so they don’t disappear after the flight. Also, keep email confirmations with ticket numbers, as you’ll often need them to credit your miles after a flight.

Claim deadline

Please note that your claim must be made within 6 months of the booking date.

How long does it take for the miles to appear in my account?

Your mileage counter will display the miles credited within 2 to 7 days from the claim date.

In the meantime, you can track the status of your missing miles claim from your KrisFlyer account.

What should you do if you forgot to add your frequent flyer card number when booking a flight?

It’s happened to all of us: you arrive at the airport, board your flight… and then realize upon landing that you forgot to add your frequent flyer number to your reservation.

Perhaps it was your first flight with a new airline, or someone else booked the ticket for you. Whatever the reason, you didn’t earn miles on that flight.

Fortunately, all is not lost, especially if you’re a KrisFlyer member.

The Singapore Airlines frequent flyer program allows you to redeem miles even if you forgot to include your membership number when booking, or even if you traveled before joining the program.

You can claim miles for any flight taken up to 30 days before you joined KrisFlyer, and for any flights booked within the last six months if you were already a member.

But if it is a flight booked with a partner airline including a Star Alliance airline, it is probably impossible to be able to credit alliance partner flights to your account.

What to do if the problem does not resolve?

Log in to your account and make sure the airline has correctly recorded the flights you’ve taken.

If you find you haven’t been able to collect miles for any flight, follow the instructions to claim your miles retroactively.

If they don’t appear even after claiming online, you may need to contact KrisFlyer customer support to report the dispute: call +65 9184 8888.
