Estimate your miles
With this handy online tool, you can calculate the miles you’re eligible to earn on your next booking. This requires a simple step:
– In the two search moderator fields, enter the departure airport and the travel destination.
– Then, select whether the flight is one-way or round-trip.
– If you plan to request an upgrade, you can also indicate this in the moderator fields.
Redeem miles
Miles earned and stored in your KrisFlyer account can be redeemed for airline tickets, as well as products and services from hundreds of commercial partners on the ground.
Problems converting your miles
When you finally have the necessary miles and want to exchange them for a ticket, the airline may give you an unpleasant surprise: there are no more seats available on board! This situation often happens, especially during peak travel times like summer and holiday periods, on very popular flights such as those connecting Singapore to Jakarta or Kuala Lumpur.
If this ever happens to you, don’t be discouraged. Before abandoning the trip, call KrisFlyer customer support several times and inquire about:
– Alternative routes to the flight, even if it’s a connecting flight
– Availability of other times and travel dates
– Availability of a similar route served by a partner airline
– Possibility of joining the waitlist.
