The moments leading up to a flight’s departure, including check-in, are considered the most stressful part of a trip. Therefore, online check-in, a feature found on the Scoot website and mobile app, is a very convenient service appreciated by the airline’s customers.
With this service, travelers can check in for their flight with a single click and for free, without having to wait until they arrive at the airport or spend long periods in queues at the check-in counters.
How do I check in online for a Scoot flight?
To check in, simply go to www.flyscoot.com, then point your cursor or finger at the Check-in section in the top menu bar. You will then be asked to enter the following information in the search form to begin the check-in process:
– Booking reference
– Passenger’s last name (as written on your passport)
The system will then display your booking and itinerary information.
Next, you will be presented with a page containing several services to select, including:
– Seat selection: If you do not select this option, you will be assigned the seat randomly assigned by the system.
Add optional services: Such as special meals, additional baggage allowance, etc.
For international flights, it is sometimes necessary to provide additional information such as passport issue date, visa duration, etc.
Once this information is validated, your check-in is confirmed and your boarding pass will be issued in just a few moments.
As you can see, in a few easy steps, you can complete your flight check in and obtain your boarding pass in digital format. You then have the choice of saving your document on your smartphone, laptop … or printing it on A4 paper.
The Scoot boarding pass contains a wealth of key information about the passenger’s identity and itinerary, including:
– Passenger’s full name
– Flight number and booking reference
– Flight date, departure time, and boarding time
– Departure and arrival airports
– Seat number
– A barcode (or QR code to scan)
Scoot offers automatic check-in
This service is available on the Scoot website and mobile app. It allows you to automatically check in for any flight marketed and operated by this airline.
Users can request their boarding pass to be sent to them before their trip, as soon as check-in begins. Customers can also choose to automatically check in for their return flight.
The service is available 48 hours before the flight, in the Manage My Booking section.
Airport check-in
Using Scoot’ self-check-in service at the airport
Online check-in is convenient if you’re only traveling with carry-on baggage, but if you have one or more checked bags, you must check in at the airport. Similarly, you must check in at the airport if you plan to travel with your pet or if you are a minor and will be traveling alone on Scoot.
But even at the airport, there is a solution to avoid the queues that often form at the usual check-in counters: carry out this procedure at the self-check-in kiosks.
- How does it work?
These kiosks often have touchscreens that provide access to an easy-to-use interface for passengers. First, you must select a language and then log in to the passenger area using either:
– A booking reference (PNR)
– Frequent Flyer number
– Passport scan
– QR code provided by the airline
By logging in to your account, passengers have access to their detailed Scoot flight booking information, which they will need to verify and then:
– Seat selection: Choose a seat or accept the seat randomly assigned by the system during booking
– Add a service: Meals, additional baggage, request an upgrade, etc.
– Check baggage: In this step, you must indicate the number of bags to be checked in and then place them on the scale to confirm that their weight and size are compliant and comply with the baggage allowance.
– Print boarding pass: The passenger is now ready to print their boarding pass.
Go to the Bag Drop counter: This is the final step in this process. Passengers must proceed to this counter so that airport staff can check their baggage and documents.
Passengers traveling without baggage or with carry-on baggage only can proceed directly to the security counter before entering the boarding area.
