Singapore Tourism STB is continuing its strategy of developing the regional market and commercially structuring its offerings.

STB has signed an agreement with Indigo, India’s leading airline, to facilitate all stages of the travel process for Indian citizens and tourists wishing to travel to Singapore, including booking flights to and from airports in both countries.

The Singapore market is the airline’s primary market. It offers numerous commercial opportunities that must be leveraged to support the destination’s overall competitiveness.

The goal of this partnership is to share synergies to boost Singapore as a destination and develop a win-win strategy for both entities.

Building on these discussions, the Singapore Tourism Board, represented by its Director, Ms. Melissa Ow, and Indigo, represented by Pieter Elbers (CEO), signed an agreement a few days ago allowing both parties to formalize and coordinate joint initiatives. Thus, promotional and communication activities will be created with innovation as a guiding principle, targeting the general public and professionals.

Starting this summer, the Tourism Office will work with its local partners, such as the two national airlines Singapore Airlines and Scoot, hoteliers, and tourism providers, to identify priority areas for inclusion in this regional market development strategy and prepare for the tourist season under the best auspices.

Indigo serves a growing network in Singapore

Indigo has a strong presence in Singapore’s skies with several scheduled flights serving Changi from nine airports in India: Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Tiruchirappalli.

The Indian airline recently announced the introduction of Stretch Business Class on its flights to and from Changi.
