Scoot now charges a fee for payments made and settled by its passengers using three electronic wallets: PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. This includes payments for any type of booking made with the airline, whether using cash or award miles.
All Scoot customers are charged an estimated fee of 2.2% of the total transaction amount when booking through PayPal, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. This fee will be automatically added to their final bill.
The low-cost airline reminds its customers that this fee is non-refundable in the event of flight cancellation or any other booking for which payment has already been confirmed.
Fee-free payment options at Scoot
Passengers wishing to avoid paying these additional fees when booking a flight with Scoot, purchasing additional baggage allowance, or ordering a lounge pass can still opt for other payment methods offered by the Singaporean low-cost airline, such as Alipay, PayNow, or regular vouchers.
