Scoot expands its offering to Indonesia

Low cost airline Scoot will launch direct flights to four popular destinations in Indonesia this December.

Flight opening dates revealed

In a press release published on October 15, the Singaporean low cost airline announced the launch of four routes from its Changi hub to Labuan Bajo, Semarang, Medan, and Palembang.

Labuan Bajo will be served twice weekly by Embraer E190-E2 aircraft. The inaugural flight is scheduled for December 21.

Two days later, Scoot will begin flights to Semarang, the destination to which it will deploy its A320 three times a week.

On January 15, 2026, the Singaporean low-cost airline will operate its first flight to Palembang, with four departures per week from Changi by E190-E2 aircraft. Medan, which will in turn be served daily by A320 aircraft.

Scoot is expanding its presence in Indonesia with four new routes offering affordable fares for travelers on a budget. One-way tickets are available at:

– Medan: 108 SGD
– Semarang: 125 SGD
– Palembang: 129 SGD
– Labuan Bajo: 170 SGD

Recalling that Scoot already serves four other destinations in the Southeast Asian country namely: Bali, Jakarta, Surabaya and Yogyakarta, behind its parent company Singapore Airlines which is considered one of the main operators in the region, serving six destinations in Indonesia.
