Following several months of high tension in the Middle East due to the political conflict between Iran and the United States, which led Scoot to suspend its flights between Singapore-Changi and Jeddah, the Singapore-based low-cost airline has announced the resumption of its flights to the prestigious Saudi destination.
Following a suspension lasting around four months, the low-cost carrier had almost resumed its Singapore–Jeddah service at the start of June before announcing a further postponement for security reasons. Ultimately, Scoot officially announced the resumption of this service yesterday, 22 June. Flight TR796, which took off from Jeddah at 4.15 pm, landed at King Abdulaziz Airport at 8.30 pm (Saudi Arabian time). The return flight, TR797, departed the Middle Eastern country at 9.35 pm and is due to land in Singapore today at 1.20 pm.
As a reminder, Jeddah is the only destination in the Middle East included in Scoot’s network, which comprises no fewer than 80 destinations in 18 countries across two continents: South-East Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
