Singapore Airlines Krisflyer: Reward ticket schedule changes

By | August 25, 2025

Singapore Airlines is launching a new mileage grid for members of its KrisFlyer loyalty program who wish to book award tickets.

Revised award mileage grid

This change, which is expected to take effect on November 1st, exceptionally affects the miles required for booking flights on Singapore Airlines with Saver and Advantage awards, as well as for upgrade requests.

How many miles are required to book an award ticket with the Saver price?

This depends mainly on the travel class:

First Class and Business Class:

The miles required to purchase award tickets will increase by up to 6% on flights within Asia and the South Pacific and by 5% on flights to Europe and the United States.

On flights serving Africa and the Middle East, the award cost will increase by up to 20%.

Economy Class:

Unlike premium cabins, passengers booking their flights in Economy Class can expect a significant reduction. The cost of miles for seats booked in these cabins will be reduced by 4% to 10%.

Miles required to book an Advantage award ticket:

In Business and First Class:

An increase of up to 16% is expected on flights within Asia and the South Pacific.

In Economy Class:

Passengers will be required to convert 10%, 5%, and 13% more, respectively, on the same route areas designated below.

KrisFlyer launches Access awards

This is a new option for booking award tickets for Krisflyer members. While we don’t know anything at this time about this new “mileage redemption” option, regarding the points required for booking or the miles awarded to members, one thing is certain: Access was created to offer members more flexibility, especially on the most popular flights.

KrisFlyer reminds its members who wish to book their award tickets with the current award schedule that they must make their reservations by November 1, 2026, as their tickets will remain valid for one year.
