Singapore Airlines: Throne Seats are reserved for its most loyal passengers

By | August 24, 2025

Singapore Airlines now only allows travelers with Elite status in the KrisFlyer loyalty program to travel in “Throne Seats”.

Previously open to everyone, Throne Seats, installed in the Business cabins of the Singapore airline’s Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft, are reserved for passengers with PPS Solitaire and PPS Solitaire Club status.

Exceptionally, these seats are available 96 hours before the flight and can be reserved by other KrisFlyer members up to 48 hours before departure.

The Business cabin of the Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft operated by this airline is arranged 2-2, 1-1, 2-2, and offers only two Throne Seats, located in row 12. These isolated seats offer: additional legroom (22 inches compared to 20 inches on standard seats); they are located away from other seats, which guarantees a certain degree of privacy for passengers; additional side storage is installed with a mirror; and a compartment spacious enough to store a laptop, shoes, or other items.

The Throne Seats are very comfortable leather armchairs that can be converted into a 76-inch fully flat bed.

This is not Singapore Airlines’ first attempt

Indeed, this initiative is not new to Singapore Airlines, which has already implemented similar restrictions on several aircraft, notably on its Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 777-300ER, where certain seats in the first row are reserved for its passengers. the most faithful.
