As Typhoon Noul is currently sweeping through China and Hong Kong, air traffic in the region has been severely disrupted. As a result, Singapore Airlines has announced the cancellation of three flights connecting Singapore to Shenzhen and Hong Kong. The affected flights are SQ856, SQ855 and SQ899, scheduled for July 25 and 26.
In a statement, Singapore Airlines apologized to passengers for the inconvenience caused by these cancellations, while noting that these are circumstances beyond its control, related to safety considerations in light of extreme weather conditions.
How to track your flight status:
Passengers with a valid reservation on one of these flights on the affected dates are advised to regularly check the flight status page on the airline’s website.
Options available to passengers:
For passengers unable to reschedule their trip to a later date, Singapore Airlines is offering the option to request a full refund of their ticket.
