Singapore Airlines had to cancel one of its flights from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore Changi Airport when maintenance technicians detected a problem with the aircraft scheduled for the route before its planned departure on February 9 at 10:00 PM.
According to the Straits Times, the aircraft in question was a Boeing 787-8, which was expected to carry more than 180 passengers to the Singaporean capital.
The aircraft, which was to operate flight TR497 from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore, experienced a technical issue before takeoff. Maintenance engineers needed time to resolve the problem, and therefore the flight was canceled.
“Passengers who had checked in for the flight were placed on alternative flights arranged by Singapore Airlines. Some travelers have decided to cancel their reservations and request a refund.” the airline said in a statement.
