Singapore Airlines continues to expand its service on the Christchurch-Singapore route. On this route, the national carrier plans to offer 23,000 additional seats throughout the summer season, increasing its service to four weekly flights, compared to three weekly last summer.
Singapore Airlines’ expanded service to the New Zealand city complements its existing year-round service of eleven weekly flights. It should be noted that this additional service launched by SIA, taking advantage of its joint venture with Air New Zealand, also includes cargo flights, on which the Singapore carrier provides a weekly capacity of 64 tonnes.
Gordon Bevan, General Manager of Aviation Development at Christchurch Airport: “We are delighted to be working with Singapore Airlines to promote travel to Christchurch.”
Simon Turcotte, Managing Director of Singapore Airlines, said: “We are delighted to expand our offering from Christchurch Airport to promote travel to and from two of the world’s most popular destinations.”
