Singapore Airlines has some exciting news: this spring, the national carrier will deploy a new wide-body aircraft on its Changi (SIN) – Dubai (DXB) route.
According to data provided by Cirium, Singapore’s national carrier plans to deploy its Airbus A380 at the end of March to replace the Boeing 777-300ER currently operating on this route.
The Singapore Airlines A380-800, a double-decker twin-aisle aircraft, can accommodate up to 471 passengers in three travel classes: 343 in Economy Class, 44 in Premium Economy, 78 in Business Class, and 6 in Suites.
In its press release, Singapore Airlines emphasizes that “The arrival of the A380 in Dubai reinforces the airline’s commitment to its customers in the UAE and aims to offer greater choice and exceptional levels of comfort on board.”
Regarding flight schedules, Singapore Airlines will likely maintain its schedule for flight SQ494, with a daily departure at 2:30 p.m. from Changi (arriving in Dubai at 6:00 p.m. local time). The return flight (SQ495) departs the UAE at 7:50 p.m. and lands at Changi the following day at 7:15 a.m. (Singapore time).
