New York State is facing another wave of travel disruptions. A snowstorm has hit the city hard, causing the cancellation of hundreds of flights.
Due to these weather conditions, which are unsuitable for aircraft takeoff, cancellations and schedule changes to flights to and from LaGuardia, Newark, and JFK airports are expected in the coming days.
Among the airlines that have had to cancel flights to and from the state is Singapore Airlines, which has announced the suspension of six routes listed in its year-end schedule:
– Flight SQ23, scheduled for today at 10:05 p.m. between JFK and Changi
– Flight SQ24, which was scheduled to connect Singapore to JFK today at 12:10 p.m.
– Flight SQ25 between JFK and Frankfurt, scheduled for today at 8:15 p.m.
– Flight SQ26 between Frankfurt and JFK, scheduled for today at 8:35 a.m.
– Flight SQ21 between Newark and Changi, scheduled to depart tomorrow at 5:45 p.m.
– Flight SQ22 between Changi and Newark, scheduled for tomorrow at 5:30 a.m.
Singapore Airlines has apologized to its customers. In a statement, it said that these disruptions were due to force majeure. Affected passengers were offered the option to change their flight departure date or cancel their reservation and receive a refund.
