The path of Tropical Storm Wipha over the South China Sea has prompted several airlines to cancel or postpone several of their flights.
For Singapore Airlines and Scoot, the two Singaporean airlines have decided to cancel several scheduled flights to and from Hong Kong Airport.
Singapore Airlines announced that its flights SQ874 and SQ882 scheduled to Hong Kong today will not take off. Similarly, the three flights scheduled from the Chinese airport to Changi have been removed from its schedule.
Disruptions also affected the two flights SQ892 and SQ893 between Singapore and Hong Kong, which departed two hours late, while SIA was forced to cancel two flights serving Shenzhen: SQ856 and SQ857.
Scoot forced to change Its Schedule
Scoot, in turn, was not spared the disruptions caused by the expected passage of Typhoon Wipha. The Singaporean low-cost airline confirmed the suspension of two scheduled flights between Singapore and Macau: TR904 and TR905.
Refund or trip reschedule
For passengers affected by these cancellations, things are quite clear: passengers must be taken care of by their airlines and have the choice between a refund for their flight or rerouting to their destination.
