Singapore Airlines has decided to change the aircraft it operates on its flights to Male in the Maldives.

On its route between its Changi hub and Male Airport, Singapore Airlines currently operates two daily flights, currently operated by medium-haul A350-900s. This will change starting next October, when the national carrier will deploy its long-haul A350-900 to operate its two daily flights to this popular sun destination.

Primarily, this aircraft change aims to improve the passenger experience on this long-haul route. The cabins of the long-haul A350 feature larger and more comfortable seats.

There are 42 seats available in Business Class, arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration. The seats are wide (28″ wide) and recline 180°. The seat spacing is 60″ allowing each passenger to better relax and stretch their legs.
